Drones Police Public Spaces During Lockdown

“Return Home!” Drones Policing Public Spaces During Mandatory Quarantines

0 0

As countries brace for impact and coronavirus spreads across their nation, local governments and State governments are quickly passing new laws and measures to keep control of their panicked citizens. Police drones have become a major apparatus of enforcement.

Police Drones Enforcing Authoritarian Measures Worldwide

We have compiled a new series of videos from different police forces around the world showing off their new social distancing drones. These drones are broadcasting via loudspeakers, as they hover over citizens.

Like something out of a future authoritarian technocracy, police forces have recently launched social distancing drones. These drones aim to round people up like cattle and encourage them to return home.

There are drones breaking up crowds in public spaces all across the US and across the globe. Some drones are merely advising of social distancing measures and others are advising the closure of public spaces. The Spanish police have been using drones to enforce social distancing for a few weeks now, since their public mandatory quarantine order.

The French police and also Italian police also are using drones to monitor the public from a distance. It seems as though every police station has an idea for how to use the lock-down to implement drone and technological policing.

Daytona Beach Residents Ordered To Return Home By Police Drones

“This Park is Closed!”

Local police in Daytona Beach have launched 2 drones thus far to enforce social distancing and other quarantine rules.

“Please Adhere With Social Distancing Guidelines!”

The Volusia county sheriff’s office are making themselves known, via drone, that they are not joking about social distancing. The coronavirus lock-down has once again spawned an authoritarian-like response from yet another local police force.

“Maintain 6 Feet of Separation!”

The Lewes, Deleware Police Department has sent out a drone to police beaches and trails.

The drone has several different types of commands which start:

“Attention! From the governors orders all individuals are instructed to practice social distancing…”

India Is Using Drones To Disinfect and Sanitize Public Places

The Indian government has found it to be much safer and time efficient to use drones in the nationwide public sanitation campaign. Drones armed with disinfectant and other cleaning products are working until their batteries run out to keep India clean. We wish them the best.

Drones may just be the future of clean air.

According to Startlandnews.com, Digital Aerolus has developed a drone that can enter a space and zap away the coronavirus using ultraviolet waves.

“Aertos 120-UVC — a drone that can fly into tight spaces and uses 265 nanometers of ultraviolet wavelengths to kill germs that routine cleaning can’t.”

It appears as though the coronavirus pandemic is fueling quite a bit of innovation globally. I think we can expect a lot of this drone use to remain long after the pandemic ends.
