Who ever wanted to surf the internet of Google, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or Pinterest? We The People. —- want to surf the internet. —-Period. We do not care about their company cultures and or their internal policies, as they do not apply to our purpose, the customer’s purpose. The internet is where we can freely roam as humans to learn, engage and teach. We want information to be free! Not monetarily – but free of censorship and authoritarian control. Social platforms should remain points of access and those who gate keep should be punished for doing so. Not only is this behavior un-American, but it is anti-human and doomed to fail.

Never did the creators of the internet intend for the people’s loss of rights and freedoms to occur due to “Big Tech” giants and technology conglomerates controlling informational access along with. The future of technology has always been only a day away, as fast as things progress in software and hardware, it has always been innovation that has kept our ears ringing and our hearts pumping awaiting the next powerful tool and opportunity to knock at our door.

Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act

Section 230 of The Communications Decency Act, an act that aimed to protect children and encourage online platforms to grow in support of public discourse, has been manipulated by litigious social media giants to allow authoritarian censorship and dogmatic ideological content consumption.

Social media companies have been forcing their ideas of a perfect world down our throats for too long. It finally is coming to a screeching halt. With threats of fines, lawsuits, etc.. Trump has signed into law the “Executive Order On Preventing Online Censorship”. Those words are music to my ears, as it should be to us all. Not only will there be no more censorship of political views, beliefs and ideologies, but the forceful consumption of uninvited views, opinions and ideas will surely become a thing of the past.

The Internet As We Knew It… Will Return

The days of the internet as we currently know it are numbered, 30 to be exact. In the executive order, Trump has created a group to investigate the unfair treatment of users online. This group will report back and policies, legislation and finalization of committees, regulations, etc.. will follow. The internet will be completely reshaped by the end of 2020.

In the 1990’s the internet was as free as it has ever been. Slowly but surely, we have all lost our way, many generations of today’s world haven’t ever had the pleasure to enjoy a truly free internet. Soon, we will all have what we lost, gave up, and let be taken from us, back, in our hands this time, hopefully never to be forgotten again.
